"Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.
They weep as they go to plant their seed,
but they sing as they return with the harvest."
Psalm 126:5-6 NLT
{Read that verse one more time…}
I took this selfie of me and my husband just as we began to plow the field.
It received this comment from one my dear Instagram friends that has been following my journey…
"I love how much you love each other."
My response…
"That's why you should never give up when storms arise.
The more we endure together without giving up the more love we have for each other.
Marriage is a commitment that pays off when you hold on to that vow for better or worse."
Don't let this photo fool you.
We all have or are experiencing life's trials and temptations.
No words can express the pain I felt when 'worse' entered my marriage.
My heart was broken and my spirit crushed.
It was a bitter time where God welcomed my honest prayers.
As ugly as they were.
As I study the book of Ruth,
I'm reminded how God can use EVERY circumstance to build His Kingdom.
We have to be careful not to let bitterness blind us of the opportunities that God has planned for us.
I had a choice to make more than once.
I chose to plant seeds.
I watered them with my tears.
Almost seven years later I'm beginning to harvest...
Loyalty, Friendship, Commitment, LOVE!
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,
and whoever generously sows will also reap generously.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Just remember…when you plant seeds,
it takes time for it to grow before you reap the harvest.
DON'T GIVE UP!
Harvest of Joy
To my husband, I still do!
With each day and trial, I love you more and more!
