My husband will probably KILL ME for sharing, but I believe the TRUTH will set you FREE :) My hubby has become a BIG OL' SOFTY. Yep, that's right. Last night after our devotional, he was sharing his heart with me in bed. He was holding nothing back. There were tears forming in his eyes…then there was a knock at our door…DARN those kids!
The smile on your face lets me know that you need me.
There's a truth in your eyes sayin' you'll never leave me.
The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall.
You say it best when you say nothing at all.
I love this picture we took last night in our watermelon patch. I can see the love I have for my husband. It consumes my heart. A love I have never experienced before. While in bed he asked me...Why couldn't our marriage always be like this? Betrayal entered our marriage not once, but twice.
The Bible tells us in I Corinthians 13:4-8:
"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends!"
We spent a lot of our marriage doing it all wrong. Full of envy, rudeness, resentfulness, wanting our own way…but we have beared all things. We believe. Full of Hope. Enduring the deepest hurt. Confident love never ends. It only grows when you don't give up, but fight. I encourage you to fight for your marriage.
"To grant to those who mourn in Zion - to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garmet of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified." Isaiah 61:3
December 15, 2016 we will celebrate our 15th Wedding Anniversary. Planning has begun. We have already selected the song for our first dance. It's going to be a celebration like none other. Celebrating, We Still Do!
Babe, I can't wait. We will stand side by side. We will renew our vows. We will hold each other tight. Never letting go. As one, we will dance under the stars to our song. I love you! I still do!
